As first task at Benjamin Hubert, I worked on defining the upholstery of Garment (Cappellini, 2012). The club chair takes a unique approach to the sector’s use of a single covering, folded around the polyurethane foam shape, making the folds a characteristic element of the armchair, like a piece of tailoring.
A promotional video followed the development of Garment, launched during the Milan Design Week. I took care of the whole video editing (After Effects) including the stop-motion pictures featured in it.
Pelt is a dining chair comprised of plywood and solid ash designed by the Studio for De La Espada. The chair has a thin 8mm plywood shell that wraps around a solid ash frame. It extends down the front and rear legs with a fluid tab that seamlessly integrates with the solid frame beneath.
